This is (or will be) a full article about Auditor's Code. For the short glossary entry, see here.

The Auditor's Code is the professional code of practice by which an auditor is bound.

It serves two purposes - one, it protects the preclear from abuse and protects the confidentiality of what is said in the session; and two, it imposes on the auditor the strict discipline (in terms of the method of application of the technology) which is essential to successful auditing.

More than anything else it is adherence to the Auditor's Code that enabled Scientology technology to succeed where past mental health practices failed.
