Orgs are divided into two types, service orgs and management orgs. Service orgs are those that deliver auditing and training to the general public. They are made up of Class IV/Class V orgs, Saint Hills and AOs, the FSO and the FSSO.

Management orgs are the rest. An org like ITO, wholly concerned with delivering auditing and training not to the general public but to staff members only, is considered to be a management org as it exists at management level and not on a par with the lower orgs.

Some orgs like Gold are neither strictly service orgs nor management orgs, but since they are attached to orgs at the management level they are included in with that category.
