The word International is never used by itself. "Int" is sometimes used to mean the supposedly secret location of International Management or of Int Mgmt, as in "They've come from Int" or "You'd better send that up to Int". But "International" is never used like that.

It is used in names of management organizations or post titles, ones having responsibility for the entire planet. The term "World-Wide" had a similar function, such as "Executive Council Worldwide" or "Guardian's Office Worldwide", but the name fell out of favor in the early 80s along with the GO.
